Braves soccer wins 1-0 over Franklin County

DRY RIDGE, Ky--The Grant County Braves boys soccer team began the season with an impressive win over Franklin County Tuesday night.
Nathan Kearns channeled the NBA's Dikembe Mutombo at the goal. Franklin County tried 18 times to score on Kearns, but he took Mutombo's motto of "not today" and stopped all of them.
The Braves shut out the visiting team 1-0 on a Johanan Mendoza goal.
The Braves will travel to Campbell County on Thursday, Sept. 10 for a 7:30 start time.
